POSTED IN PERSONAL

So, I've been racking my brain trying to come up with a weekly entry to entice you.  So since I love my taste :) I thought I'd start a weekly blog "Things I Heart".  I hope you will get to know me a little better.  It may be fashion, food, fun or just because but they will be all the things I adore.

I heart each of you.  Thanks for following my blog, believing in me and making me smile with your sweet comments.  PS...I HEART COMMENTS...so please leave me a word or 2 to let me know you stopped by.

So without further adieu...I have a HUGE announcement:

Scroll down...

Keep going...

A little more...

After years of waiting...

After years of praying...

After years of asking God when...

I've met the love of my life!

Allow me to introduce you...

To the one who has changed my life...

My new Nikon D3 :)

Okay, so maybe not the complete love of my life, but it will be my main squeeze for now and we'll spend every waking hour together.  Here are some of the things I heart shot with my new love:

My new lampshade from Antrho that I got for my birthday. The lovely arrangement of peacock feathers mixed with vintage finds.

My Foo Dog and 3 of my new obsessions (frilly headbands).  Another shot of my my Handmade Lovely made by the fabulous Lauren Chapman.

My botkier splurge (I've wanted this bag for over a year), my sunburst mirror, and 2 Anthro pillow on super sale (YAY).  PS I have a serious obsession with Antrho!!!

My 32nd birthday was a week and a half ago and my sweet friend, Jill from Dallas sent me a cupcake kit from my fave: SPRINKLES!!  They were DELISH!

And last but not least...my friend, Mandi has a fantastic blog.  Check it out...you will laugh at her insights into life and her recent pregnancy.  Check her out http://mandiandashley.blogspot.com/ I promise, you will not walk away disappointed.

Well, that's all for now.  Let me know some of your favorite things...they may just make my list!

POSTED IN WEDDINGS

Ladies...they are here and ready to come direct to your home.  Carrie's amazing, blue wedding Manolo's (from the Sex and the City Movie) are available at Bergdorf Goodman.

I LOVE colored wedding shoes and these take the cake (however I still want to wear Louboutin's).  Check them out, drool over them...buy them and then hire me to shoot your lovely wedding feet!  However, Carrie wasn't completely honest about their price.  She said they were $525...they retail for $945 (breathe...breathe...breathe).  But who are we kidding...you are FABULOUS and worth it!

POSTED IN ENGAGEMENT

I LOVE this couple!  Jessica is the dream bride.  I can not tell you how wonderful she is.  She sends me sweet emails all the time and is just an incredible encouragement.  She makes me feel special :).

Reid is the Youth Minister at FBC Thomasville.  Their love is contagious.  They look at each other and giggle and then have this serious, intense moment.  Their love is real.  I know that God has ordained their love and I can not wait to be at their wedding and document it.

We met The Red Fly ladies at this fantastic junk yard and found a treasure trove of photo opportunities waiting for a hot couple to make them look good.  I even baked cookies for the owners as a Thank you...I think I may have gotten a marriage proposal from a middle aged man looking for someone to cook for him :).  Yes, this is my glamorous life!  Here are my faves and don't forget the slideshow at the end.

Tis the season for contests.  Totally Rad...the raddest actions on the block...are hosting a recipe contest.  Photographers, if you haven't get your butt on over to their site and buy them.  I don't know how I lived without them!

The prizes ROCK.  So, I entered in hopes of winning 2nd prize.  I know, I know...normally only first prize is my goal BUT I really need the 2nd prize.  It's a one year membersthip to The Wedding Chicks (who also ROCK).  Here's my image and the recipe.

POSTED IN PERSONAL

The fabulous Kelly Moore Clark issued a challenge to use the sun instead of hiding from it.  I have to say, I LOVE using the sun.  It is always a challenge to get the settings just right, but when you do...IT IS PERFECTION!  I decided to take her on and play with God's answer to the pocket wizard :).  I love using the sun as an extra light source.

If you're a photog and haven't check her out, go play in sunshine and enter the contest.  The best advice I was ever given was to put yourself in the hardest lighting situations you could imagine shooting in because you WILL be in that situation one day.  Thanks Kelly for the challenge!

This is one of my future brides.  Jessica and Reid are so hot and were up for anyting. Taken late evening.  I used Pocket Wizards on all the shots.

My friend Kellie.  She is super fantastic and HOT.  We started at 10:00 am and finished around 4:00 pm.  The lighting was delicious all day!

Jennifer was stunning.  This shot was taken at around 6:30 close to sunset.  I did use two Pocket Wizards to enhance the lighting.

Cecil and Robyn around 3:00 pm.  I love the shadows on the wall.

Lauren was stunning.  This was taken around sunset.  I love the sun poking through the trees.
