POSTED IN THINGS I HEART

I do...I love love!  FYI...this is the key chain from Sex and the City The Movie.  I love when Jennifer Hudson says, "Love is the thing, you know".  The more I shoot weddings the more I realize why I do it.  I do it because I love and believe in love.  This is a big deal coming from the product of a divorced home.  It is incredible to see love, be a part of love and capture love.  I've been blessed lately to witness some serious love and I'd like to share it with you.

My best friend Casey went through a painful, horrible divorce 2 and a half years ago.  It was the most excruciating thing seeing someone I love so much hurt so deeply.  I wept with her, got angry with her, held her and just loved her the best way I knew how.  There were times I feared that she would never allow herself to feel love again.  There were guys and opportunities but never love.  My heart hurt for her because I knew that she deserved to be in love...real, sweep you off your feet, flutter in your stomach, make you giddy and glowy love.  I have had the most wonderful past month watching her open her heart up and let in an amazing man and fall in love...seriously, there are times when I can tell she's glowing through a text.  It gives me such hope to see someone who has hurt so deeply open up their hearts and trust again to love.  My heart is so filled with joy that God has given her the man who loves her and treasures her.  It's always a risk...there is never a guarantee...

Which brings me to my next friend.  My dear friend who is like my brother is fighting for his love.  Despite hurt and heartache he is choosing to pursue her and be the picture of Christ's pursuit of us.  He is choosing to see beyond all human fallibility and fight for the one he committed to years ago.  It brings tears to my eyes just watching him pursue her, love her and have faith that they will be restored.

I watched one of the parents of my bride kiss and love each other.  I can't tell you how much it encouraged me to see their lasting love after so many years...not only do they love each other BUT they really like each other.  I know that they've had hard times but they've stood by their commitment to each other.

I see my brother and how he loves and supports his wonderful wife.  She's a worship leader with The Vineyard and she produces music for them.  My brother told me not long ago, "I can't wait until I can build Anabeth the house of her dream with a recording studio in it."  She has supported him through medical school and he wants her to be successful.  It just makes me happy to watch them love each other.

Even with the stories of when love fails...it does prevail.  I long for the day when I can give my heart to a man...BUT I don't hold back my love in the meantime :).  I have a lot of love to give.  Love is why I am redeemed.  Love is why I am living my dreams.  Love is what pushes me towards greatness...Love is the thing!

POSTED IN PERSONAL

I posted an entry a while back about how excited I was to be going to Love Affair but I falied to mention why I was so excited.  These ladies...Kelly Moore Clark, Millie Holloman, Davina Fear and Lauren Clark are among the top names in photography.  They are offering this amazing experience where they are laying all their cards on the table and not holding anything back.  They are covering business, posing, organization, balance and LOVE!  I mean, what more could a girl ask for?

Going to this workshop was on my Goals List for this year.  I feel so blessed to see how God provides for me.  It has been an overwhelming year already.  I've launched my blog, site, purchased a new camera, seen my biz grow and now I get to go and learn from some of the greatest in my field.  God is good!

If you a woman and a photographer...I challenge you to check out their blog.  It is well worth the investment.  Women who have gone in the past have doubled and trippled their income as a result of what they learned.  You are worth it...you deserve the best and these women are it!

POSTED IN GLAMOUR

I LOVE redheads...I think they look amazing on film.  Lauren is no exception.  We had a blast shooting her.  She was timid at first but when she warmed up to all four cameras flashing at her (I was there with The Red Fly ladies and Peggy) she owned it.  She did whatever we asked and was a dream to shoot.

Hope you enjoy her images and don't forget to check out the slideshow at the end.

The sun was perfect peaking through thel limbs.  Gotta love that sun!

Her eyes are amazing.

I have grown to so love hanging moss since I've moved to GA.  It really is quite ethereal in images.

I couldn't decide so I posted them both.

Love, love, love these.

Love her face in the one on the right.

I think these are so fun and would make an excellent magazine spread :).

POSTED IN BUMP

Kellie and I have been friends for a LONG time!  We lived together for 2 years in college and I just love this girl.  She is such an amazing woman, wife, friend and now mother.  She loves Jesus with her whole heart and seeks to glorify Him above all.  AND to top it all off, she is HOT...really, really HOT!

I had the joy of getting to shoot her bump-a-liscious hotness.  She rocked it.  She climbed on an AC vent and did whatever I asked (note...she was 8 months prego at the time).  She was a dream to shoot.  Kell, I had a blast.  Hope you feel as hot as you look in these photos.  Ryan is one lucky man :).

I busted out the LensBaby for these shots.

Hello hotness...and the lighting was perfection.

Black and white with a luscious sky equals perfection.

I LOVED this red building.

FYI...those are designer jeans on her prego body.  Every woman has the right to look amazing!

The one on the right is one of my faves.

I told you she climibed on an AC unit and she owned it! Feroche...that's all.

Blue (their dog) had to make an appearance...she got it from her mamma...she worked it out :).

I love both of these.

Check out her eyes...amazing!

I nicked this idea from Pink Coffee...(thanks Lyndsay for letting me use it).

If you don't own these actions...RUN, DON'T WALK...YOU NEED THEM!!!  If you have them, check out the new recipe site.  There is so much you can do with these actions.  I LOVE seeing what others are doing and I get inspired every time!  Thanks Doug for sharing your Photoshop genius with the rest of us.  In case no one has told you lated...YOU ROCK!
