POSTED IN FAMILIES

I have known Mignon and Trey, it seems like forever.  They were high school sweethearts and got married :)...I heart stories like that!  They are such an amazing couple and family.  I shot Nelson...back in the day (way back in the day when I was still shooting ALL film)...when he was first born and since then, they've had a new addition, Izzy.

These two kids are characters!  Oh my goodness...they are so fun and so joyful...and personality...don't even get me started.  They have enough for an army.  I think I laughed so much while I was shooting them.  Izzy should have a theme song that plays when she walks into a room "Miss Independence".  I love that spirit...maybe because I have the same one :).  Nelson is so over dramatic and had me rolling.  Ahhh, I will stop gushing.

Here are my faves.

Nelson braved the uncharted waters and went first...

Love this series!  So much the personality of this family.

These 2 of Izzy...LOVE!

'

I think this is the ONLY shot of Nelson and Izzy together.  She does her own thing.

"Run...run as fast as you can.  You can't catch me...I'm Izzy"

OMG...I will be getting the one on the right made into a HUGE canvas!

See...they are always laughing.  I love that!

I LOVE this one.  It is perfection!

Trey saw this.  NOTE: Future clients...DO NOT be afraid to bring your ideas to the table!  I love that!  Aren't these great!

Their silliness was contagious.

And...she's off...

Okay...I was wrong...more of Nelson and Izzy.  Um...hello gorgeous light.  LOVE!

I love how natural these are.  Such a stolen, sweet moment.

I MELT...

Is she not the cutest?!?!?

I told you...PERSONALITY!

Again...another idea of Trey's and I love these shots!

At this point Nelson said, "How much longer?  This has taken like FIVE YEARS".  I love it :)

POSTED IN DAY AFTER

So, this is one of my fave couples of ALL time.  I just adore them.  They love each other and others in their lives with the love of Jesus and it is evident in all they do.

I always have such fun with them.  They love to laugh and have fun...and did I mention...they were up for ANYTHING!  I LOVE when my clients let me do whatever I ask and trust what's going in my crazy mind :).  They let me go and do my thing.  LOVE THAT...LOVE THEM...LOVE THE IMAGES :).

Take a peak at my faves and stay tuned at the end for a slide show:

I had to get a few more shots of her fabu Judd Waddell dress

I don't normally edit like this but I liked it for this one...so moody...

LOVE...the sky really was that vibrant.

I love to watch the way Reid looks at Jessica.  Single ladies, get ready to swoon and WAIT for a man to adore you like this...

The one on the bottom is a fave of Jessica.

These two are greatness.  The lighting, the couple, the love and happiness...*sigh*...LOVE

Love the cheeky cute feel of the next 2

That light peaking through makes my heart go pitter patter...

YES...the motel.  Gotta love a run down motel in FL...

with a metal roofed overhang...

Focus shift...Who is in focus...

"I wear my sunglasses at night"...okay not really, I just wanted to type that and it's my blog so I can :).

LOVE THESE!  LOVE THEM!

POSTED IN COUPLES

Brandon and Michelle are perfection!  They are so in love and hot...THAT is a killer combo :).

I met them in Nashville and we had a blast braving the cool weather around town coming up with some of my favorite images.  We may have gotten thrown out of a hotel..SHHHHH....don't tell :).  My philosophy...it's better to ask for forgiveness than have someone tell you NO and not get the shots...WE ROCKED THE SHOTS in the hotel and it was totally worth it!

Thanks you two for allowing me to hang out with you and capture your love!  It is a sweet love that I know will only grow stronger with time.  I wish you the best and look forward to more photo shoots in the future ;).

Here are my faves...don't forget the slide show at the end.

 I warned you...EPIC hotness ahead...

I couldn't get enough of that yellow chair.  I wanted to take it home with me.

The bar shot...no words except...FIERCE!

One of my faves of Michelle

Loved that tree...it looks like a rib cage.

A little lens flair to brighten your day.

The light for the next 2...adore it.  So emotional

Gotta love some love in an elevator...lovin' it up when I'm goin' down...

Um...yes please...any more hot sauce and I may die...

I love this one.  It's like fireworks going off when they kiss :).

POSTED IN FAMILIES

What a fun family.  We met in Vicksburg and started our shoot at The Civil War Memorial and then headed downtown.  I may have gotten carsick on the ride through the war memorial...okay, I did.  I was so embarrassed but I survived and we had so much fun.

This was a few families that were getting together and it was so fun getting to see them interact and capture the love and spirit of each family.

Thanks guys for allowing me to capture your families.  Despite the car sickness, I had a blast :).  Ya'll are such a fun family full of so much love.

Here are some of my faves and then be sure to check the slide show at the end.  Press play to start the show.

I have to say it...doesn't she look just like a sweet china doll?  She was.  She NEVER cried and it was HOT!

I love the one in the middle.  She was just so happy and full of  life.

Nothing melts my heart like watching a daddy with his child.  Brad loves his baby girl and it's so evident!

Yes, they are this good looking :).  Michele is indeed a mom to a toddler :).

They are HUGE Mississippi State fans...and all boy :).

LOVE this one...LOVE IT!

Okay, I love these also :).

The boys with their grandparents.

A few of this hot couple.  Parents...it's so important to get shots of you as well :).

Some of this hot couple :).  Aren't they cute.

Both of the boys totally kissed their mom's hand on their own :).  So sweet!

WAIT...yes, there is another hot couple :)...

And one final family shot with the family mascot.

POSTED IN PERSONAL

This has been a hard week!  I'm experiencing this huge gamut of emotions...fear, peace, panic, love, contentedness, hope, more fear, more love, grace, and the list goes on.

My friend told me tonight that she admired me for taking the leap and moving.  I don't feel very admirable.  My head is racing with "What if's" and I get in these panic modes...mostly founded on money.   I worked for a non profit, faith based organization and my paycheck came from support that I had to raise.  I have to tell you, if I had not lived that life I would NOT be able to take this leap.  I saw God meet my needs and provide in crazy ways.

I had to buy new tires while I was in Atlanta after the U2 concert.  As I was pulling out the money I was like, "God, really?!?! I do NOT want to pay for these and I need this money for something else".  Then God pricked my heart and whispered, "I will meet your needs".  I sat there humbled and said, "Thank you that I have this money to pay for new tires.  I trust you".

I TRUST YOU!  Those are some powerful words and hard to say to someone.  It is hard to earn someones trust.  God has proven his faithfulness over and over in my life and the lives of others...I've seen it.  I TRUST YOU LORD...I TRUST YOU!!!

My friend, Scarlett said to me a few months ago, "It takes a lot of faith to do what we do.  There's no security".  I didn't so much understand it then because I still had my full time job.  Now, here I sit fully living this faith on a day to day basis.  Photography isn't all glitz and glamor.  Don't get me wrong...I LOVE MY JOB!  And there is the glitz and glamor, but there is a ton of uncertainty and faith.

Today, I praise God for meeting my needs and being my provider.  I booked a wedding and have 2 other inquiries.  His heart for me is to be successful.  I have to tell myself these things and more in my moments of doubt.

Whatever it is you are struggling with, cling to Him.  Trust Him.  Have faith in Him.  He will meet where you are and provide whatever it is you need!  This I can promise!

Here's a video and song...one of my faves.  I feel God whispering to me through this song...
