POSTED IN FAMILIES

Well, I'm packing my bags for a much needed vacation!  I joke about it, but this could be my mantra, "Hi, I'm Beth and I'm a workaholic".  I spend almost 24/7 working...it's such hard work getting a biz up and running.  Please don't get me wrong...I LOVE MY JOB!  I LOVE MY CLIENTS!  I LOVE MY LIFE!  BUT I need a break!  I've never worked harder for anything in my entire life as I've worked the past year and a half to see my biz grow.

SO...as a reward...I'm going to The Big Apple.  On the agenda (jealousy is totally allowed):

Staying at The Waldorf, 4 Broadway Shows, The Macy's Day Parade, cupcakes pizza hot dogs oh my, and Bon Jovi at The Today Show.  Theres much more greatness, but those are a few of the highlights.  I'm so excited and blessed to have this opportunity.  This has been a monumental year for b. mo foto and I COULD NOT do it without each of you!  Thank you for your continued support, business and encouragement.  I say it all the time but it bears repeating....I HAVE THE BEST CLIENTS EVER!

Here's a sneaky peaky of some recent shoots:

Olivia:

It seems like only yesterday that Olivia curled up in my arms and I was rocking her to sleep as a one month old.  She has grown so much and I ADORE her!  She is sassy, cute, funny and spoiled rotten.  She is the youngest of 3 and the only girl :).  One look at her and you'll see why she has us all wrapped around her baby finger...

This shot reminds me of a Gap ad...

LOVE a little static electricity...it makes me smile.  I was shooting through a mesh fence on this one.

Olivia's signiature face.  I told you...SASSY PANTS :)

A fave for sure...

I could eat her up and pinch her cheeks through my screen!

The Koskos:

I LOVE this family!  If you follow me on Twitter, you may remember me mentioning Eliza Kate.  She is the oldest daughter of John and Kendy.  The night we took these she prayed, "Dear Jesus, thank you for letting Miss Beth take our pictures today".  On my next visit she and her little sis Caroline spilled popcorn and she said, "Beth, you must come look at this beautiful mess".  I adore her spirit!  This family is full of love and life...check it out:

Seriously...this light was INSANE...

Sweet Eliza Kate...

Adorable Caroline...

The hotness that is John and Kendy...

One of my faves:

I love how natural this one is...this is their family 100%...

Kendy is absolutely stunning!

Jeanelle (and her Snuggie):

I had the opportunity to meet the fabulous Jackson, MS photog Jeanelle Caraway.  I went to her birthday party and she got a Snuggie.  We ended up in a field at midnight with my Pocket Wizards and tons of fun...the Madison police may have shown up for the festivities :).

Did I mention that she also received a reading light FREE...she sported it as well...

The McCurdys:

Miki is a photog as well.  She asked me shoot her family.  They are such a cute, fun family filled with so much energy.  Stella is sassy, energetic and creative.  Kate is sensitive, sweet and loving.  We met in Carrollton and had a fun day.

This captures Stella's energy.

And this is Kate's sweet nature...

Dusk light is lovely!

Love this shot!

A fave family shot with some of Miki's artwork behind her...

LOVE this one...

The Caldwells:

What a fun family!  I had a blast shooting these hottie parents and their sweet son, Anderson.

This just makes me smile...

Really...seriously...he is so adorable!

Such a sweet shot of the 2 of them:

I feel like he should be in Newsies:

Such a sweet moment and a fave:

Vicoria:

She is sweet and adorable.  There is nothing like the smell of a new baby to put a smile on my face.  I could have held her forever:

Brantley:

What a sweet pumpkin.  I wanted to hug him and kiss his sweet face.

POSTED IN FAMILIES

Meet my new family...they found me on the street, picked me up and gave me my own room in their house.  Okay, so that's a slight exaggeration, but they are my Jackson home for now :).  Oh, and did I mention that Suzanne is my photography pimp extraordinaire?  95% of the Mississippi sessions I've booked were a result of her or one of her referrals.  She wins the prize for Pimp Of The Year!

I am in LOVE with Mary Peyton.  I get the joy of having kids without having to discipline :).  She comes home everyday and says, "Miss Beth...where are you"?  She is full of so much love and did I mention she's a DIVA...no really...full on diva this one :).  She's started bursting out of rooms in model poses and says, "But Miss Beth said I was a model" :)...all the world needs is some time with b. mo to realize that they can be a model.

Here are some of my faves.  I shot some of MP at the beach (with the talented William Friley...he let me tag along) and then Suzanne requested that we go to her families plantation in The Delta.  Here's what we got:

She's such a little nurturer.  It is so sweet to see her with her babies.

Oh...and a rockstar.

Her Hannah Montana Moment...Party in the USA!

This is Suzanne's Grandmother...this is where she went to church.

A 4 generation pic...

All of their hands...

I know I shouldn't encourage this...but it was too cute.

A little time for mom and dad.  A little church pew lovin'

LOVE these!

The Cotton Gin where Suzanne's dad does his cotton in Minter City, MS...

Hellloooooo....hotties....

The many faces of MP...

I love this sweet moment between MP and her Big Daddy...

Possibly one of my all time fave children's shot...

POSTED IN FAMILIES

Kellie and I were roomies for 2 years at Mississippi State.  I love this girl...I love her husband...and her little boy, Truett, well suffice it to say that he melts my heart like buttah :).  I'm trying to break through to Ryan (he's not a fan of the camera) and I think we got some great shots and I think he was even starting to have a little fun...wink!  Kellie could be a supermodel and Truett LOVES the camera.  This pint sized cutie has so much personality...he cracks me up!

Here are some of my faves and the slideshow at the end:

A little train station lovin'

I love Kellie and Tru's interaction in these...

Can't go wrong with a school bus :)...

I adore all the negative space in this one...and Tru is just so content...

The one of the far left just makes me laugh...

I told you...WORK IT OUT...

These two make me melt...so sweet!

His personality is SO BIG!

This chair was my fave from our college days...Tru looks way cuter in it that I did :)...

Those eyes...he's gonna be a heartbreaker!

POSTED IN FAMILIES

Well, it's been a whirlwind of going here and there and everywhere (I feel like Dr. Seuss right now).  I have to admit, I'm trying very hard to stay possitive about the "I'm a walking, breathing Nomad" thing.  My car is a disaster.  I'm living out of a suitcase crammed to the rim with fall and winter clothes.  I continue to put rediculous amounts of miles on my car.  BUT...yes, there is a but in this pity party of mine...I'm doing what I love!

That is the thing that keeps me going.  With each family and couple I meet and photograph, I grow to love my job more and more.  Each "client" leaves a mark on my life and I walk away a better person because of something I learned from them.  So, even though I've learned the nomad life is NOT the life for me, I wouldn't trade this time for anything in the world.

Thanks to each of you for choosing ME!  There are thousands of photogs to choose from and you chose ME!  I can't thank you enough for letting me into your worlds with my camera to give you images that you will make you smile.

Here are some sneaky peakies into a few of those sessions:

Katie and Roger: Thomasville, GA

I think Katie has been telling me for 2 years that she wanted to hire me for her wedding and the day has come!!!  i was thrilled when I got her email telling me that Roger had popped the question and they were getting married...IN SEASIDE, FL!  We did an E Sesh while I was in Thomasville.  OH MY...greatness...that's all I can say!

These are their Morkie puppies.  I want one SO BAD!  So stinkin' cute!  And can I just say it...De LISH light...

Love the cheekiness of this one...

Hi, I watch ANTM and I know how to work it!

A FAVE for sure!

I love this shot.  It just captures them.

My title for this one is "Retro Lovin"

The Odens:

What a great family.  The love that these three have for each other is infectious!  We had lots of smiles, laughter and serious ANTM moments.  Gracia (pronounced Graysha) loves the show and practiced some of the most fierce poses for me.

This was her Grandma's hat...I LOVE a little vintage flair!

I can not tell you how happy it makes me to see daddies loving on their little girls!

This is such a sweet moment...

Singing in the rain...what a glorious feeling...

We had a little family time at a bakery in downtown Canton.  For more of that goodness...stay tuned for the full post.  Until then, here's a lip smaking sneaky peak :).

Yes...we are hotties!

Gracia loves to twirl...

and swing...

One of my faves from the day!

The Hadleys:

Katrice won her session at the Jackson Academy silent auction and was so excited to have me shoot her family.  What fun we had.  They have vivacious twin boys and they are ALL boy!  They rolled around, threw a few punches and even smiled for the camer occasionally.  I just think this is such a sweet family!

I told you...ALL BOY!

LOVE this one!

Katrice...get your Kleenex :)...

This one feels so retro to me...

A fave for sure!

That barn with all that texture is a dream for me!  My choice for the Christmas card pic ;)

The Tanksleys:

I went to high school with Peggy Jo and was thrilled when she called for me to shoot her family.  OH MY...these two kiddos were balls of lots and lots of energy.  I love that...it forces me to be creative and figure out cool ways for them to expell that energy for a great photo.  What a fun famiy!

I told Peggy Jo and Jamie to kiss and this was the kids reaction ;)...

The next 2 of the kids...I LOVE!

The light, composition and passion in this one...yummy!

I sometimes wonder if there is such a thing as using too much sun flair...I say NO!!!  I adore it because I get amazing images like this one...

Dads...don't forget to twirl your little girls...those are sweet moments they will treasure forever!

I love how natural and fun this one is.

Thanks to Tallahatchie Flats for opening up one of your units.

Georgia:

What a fun, spunky, sassy girl after my own heart!  I had so much fun with Georgia and we played dress up and played in the woods.  It was lovely.  It was a rare shoot for me at 8 a.m.  The light at that time of day is so lovely.  I really need to shoot it more!

She thought she was famous and kept putting things up to block her face :).

I LOVE this one!  She totally did this on her own.

She was patiently waiting to devour the milkshake we bribed her with...YES I did it and I'd do it again :)...

I love the joy in this one...the light just accentuates that mood!

Possibly one of my faves!  She was holding her princess want up to my lens.  I just adore it!

POSTED IN GLAMOUR

I had the joy of leading a very mini workshop with a couple of girls in Mississippi.  Miki MccCurdy and Kim Houpt joined me in Carrollton for two days of fun, fashion and a photo shootout :).  I need to give props to The Greenwood Little Theatre for allowing us to raid their costume closet for the amazing wardrobes of some of our models.  Thank you Mauri at Mane Tamers for letting us use your shop.  Also a huge thank you to Tallahatchie Flats for allowing access to your cabins and land.  If you are EVER in Greenwood, MS i recommend staying a night at Tall Flats!

Here are my faves...ENJOY!

Drew and Nikki:

Drew and Nikki got married in Vegas and had some okay shots from their wedding.  They wanted us to get some killer shots of them...Let me just they are HOT and we all got some KILLER shots!

The light in Carrollton was glorious that day!  The mosquitos and ticks...not so much ;)

LOVE!!!  This was submitted for the MS Magazine Wedding Edition Cover.  I think it would be perfect...we'll see what the editors say.

The VESPA...there are no words...

except...FEROCHE!

Leslie:

Leslie is the hot sister-in-law of one my friends and when I saw her pictures on Facebook...I KNEW I HAD TO HAVE HER!!!  Um, I could shoot her ever hour of every day...that's all

Micajah and Grace:

I went to high school with Micajah and was thrilled when Miki called him to model for us!  He and Grace are the greatest couple.  They just got married and we did a little high fashion E Sesh at Tallahatchie Flats.  Note:  ALL of Grace's clothes are from the Greenwood Little Theatre!  I about passed out when i saw the brown dress.  It reminds me of something Oscar de la Renta would design...that man knows how to dress a woman!  I love this couple and I LOVE these images!

Brittany:

Sorry, boys, she's taken..
