This is a birthday shout out to one of my most favoritest people in the whole world.  My friend, Amy.  Amy has been there for me through some hard times.  She listened to me, let me sit in her office every morning when we worked together and vent and she continues to love me and cheer me on.

She and her husband are currently overseas telling others about the love of Jesus so they aren't in the States.  Her birthday happens to fall on Christmas, and she's expecting her first child December 30 (her anniversary is Dec 31).

Amy, I love you!  Thank you for always loving me, being honest with me (telling me what I need to hear and may not always want to hear), and being one of my biggest fans.  I am so proud of you and Ryan.  You inspire me to be a better person.  It is such a joy to be part of your life and see how God is using for His glory.  I hope you have the best birthday where you are.  I wish I were there. Can't wait to see you soon!  I LOVE YOU!

I drove from GA last Saturday to celebrate the birth of one of my favorite divas, the one and only Scarlett Lillian.  We started off at her place where she gave US each a gift of some yummy Pink body spray and lip gloss.  They had rented a surprise limo and we had champagne, karaoke, dancing, laughing and secret sharing.  We arrived at The Ritz and had a grand entrance.  I swear people thought we were famous (it was wonderful).  It's funny because as were sitting in the limo we realized that a pre requistite for being Scarlett's friend is that you have to be a Diva.  We really did arrive in diva style!

We ate at Salt in The Ritz.  It was lovely.  I felt like was on Top Chef.  Each pice of food was meticulously placed and looked beautiful...not to mention it all tasted AMAZING!  We had a cute waiter who totally flirted the whole time.  We had a blast.  It was great to meet so many other photographers and new friends.  It was such a diverse group of people and we all just had so much fun with eath other.

PS...with all the photogs present, the fabulous Darice Michelle was the one we let take pictures.  Although we all got our fix as her camera was passed around.  All the photos courtesy of her.

Happy Birthday Scarlett!

Our gifts from Scarlett, her spraying it on, and Lyndsay of Pink Coffee Photo Art:

Hello world...it's been a while since my last post.  Life is super busy these days!

I've been thinking a lot lately...tis the season...ho ho ho, etc.  It's so easy to caught up in all this crazy hooplah...the trees, the lights, the music all drown out the beauty of this time of year.  This has been a strange holiday season for me.

We moved the week before Thanksgiving and have boxes littering the floor in every room in the house.  There will be no tree this year because a) we have no place to put it and b) it's in storage covered in boxes.  Now some would get all ba-humby about all this....but wait there's more.

Guess what else?  My uncle lost his job.  This is the uncle that has ALWAYS had money, but he made some bad investments prior to our economical crisis and got stuck.  He has nothing and is moving from his home in Boulder, CO to MS to live with family.  My mom coudln't stomach buying us all a bunch of presents when he has such great needs.  So there won't be presents.

The great news is that I'm ok with it all.  It's actually been such a sweet time.  Of course I heart watching cheesy Christmas movies with my mom and memaw.  I often cry (shh, our little secret).  It's just been wonderful to have so much of the pressure lifted to just be with each other and be a family.  Everthing is stripped away but we have each other.  Life is grand...I have a job I'm passionate about, family that loves me and a Savior that chose to leave the glory and spleandor of heave so I could be free.  Could it get any better than this?

POSTED IN COUPLES

Courtney was my roomie for 2 years.  Jason was my brother's roomie for 3 years.  I'll never forget their first kiss...not because I was there :), but because it was so special for all of us.  You see, I think Jason knew Court was the one the moment he laid eyes on her.  It took Court a little longer to catch on (she's a realist).  We all knew that they were destined for each other and we were rooting for them.  And then the day finally came and that was it...they were in it forever.

Graduation, med school, and finally an engagment and marriage.  They've been married for 3 years and are still in love.  It was so great to see them on my trip to Jackson, TN.  I hadn't seen them since their wedding.  How time gets away as we get older.  Enjoy their pictures.  I hope you can sense their joy, passion and love for each other.  I mean, they really have a blast just being around each other.

I love this one...looks like Anthropologie
